Stay calm in Karaikal, visit Velankanni early
Velankanni is about 50 minutes from the resort. Leave early for the basilica and the beach, and you are back in the afternoon to rest and swim. Staying in Karaikal is quieter than staying in Velankanni itself.

The old Danish town of Tharangambadi
Tranquebar (Tharangambadi) is about 45 minutes away, with Dansborg Fort, old Danish streets and a beach. It works as a half-day trip from the resort.
