Privacy policy
Last updated: 1 October 2026. This policy explains what information RK Resorts, No. 7 Mudhaliyar Street, Sellur, Thirunallar, Karaikal 609607, collects through this website and at the resort, and how we use it.
What we collect
When you enquire or book, we collect your name, phone number, email address and the details of your stay or event, such as dates, number of guests and requests. At check-in we collect a government photo ID for every adult guest, as required by law.
Our contact buttons open WhatsApp or your email app with your message filled in, and you choose whether to send it. The event planner (Plan your celebration) sends the details you enter to our events team.
The Arky chat (Ask us)
Before you chat, we ask for your name and WhatsApp number, and optionally your email address. We keep them with your questions and our answers so our team can reply to you, and when you send a room or event enquiry from the chat, it goes to our front desk or events team, who will contact you on that number.
Answers in the chat are written automatically by an AI service (Cloudflare Workers AI) using the information on this website. They can be wrong, so our team confirms every booking. Please do not share ID or payment details in the chat. Chat conversations, names and numbers are deleted after 30 days unless you go on to stay or hold an event with us.
Offers by email
We send offers and news by email only if you tick "Send me offers and news" and give your email address. You can ask us to stop at any time by replying to any of our emails, messaging us on WhatsApp or calling +91 98424 19447, and we will remove you from the list.
WhatsApp messages from RK Resorts
We send service messages on WhatsApp from +91 63829 77290 ("RK Resorts") to the number you give us at the pool counter, at reception or when you book: your GST bill or e-bill, your membership card and invoice, membership expiry reminders, and private-hire booking confirmations. These are sent through WhatsApp Business, a service of Meta Platforms, which handles the messages under its own terms and privacy policy.
We do not send offers or promotions on WhatsApp unless you agree to them separately.
To stop these messages, reply STOP to any of our WhatsApp messages and you will get a confirmation, or tell the counter or call +91 98424 19447. You can always ask for a printed bill instead. Reply START to receive them again.
We keep each message and its status (sent, delivered or read) with your bill as part of our billing records.
How we use it
We use your information to reply to your enquiry, confirm and manage your booking or event, send you the messages you need for your stay, keep the records required by law, and improve our service. We do not sell your information.
Bookings and payments
Online room bookings are handled by our booking engine partner, Stayflexi. Payment details you enter there are processed by Stayflexi and its payment providers under their own privacy policies. We do not see or store your card details.
Cookies and analytics
We use Google Analytics, through Google Tag Manager, to understand how visitors use this website, for example which pages are viewed and when someone taps Book, WhatsApp or Call. This uses cookies and collects your device, browser and approximate location, but not your name or phone number. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site also remembers small preferences, such as whether you have seen the opening animation, on your own device.
Other services on this website
The site is hosted and protected by Cloudflare, which processes technical information such as your IP address for security. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts. The weather shown on the site is fetched from Open-Meteo for the resort's location, not yours. Links to Google Maps, WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and Tripadvisor take you to those services, which have their own privacy policies.
Who we share it with
Our booking, billing, pool and event systems are our own software. They run on trusted providers that store or process data only on our behalf: Cloudflare (hosting, databases, and the AI used in our chats), Google (sign-in for our staff, Firebase for event records, and website analytics), Meta (WhatsApp messages), Stayflexi (online room bookings) and Razorpay (online payments). They may not use your data for their own purposes. We do not sell your information or share it with anyone for advertising. We share it with authorities only when the law requires it, for example the guest register.
How long we keep it
We keep booking, guest register and billing records for as long as Indian law requires, including tax records. Enquiries that do not lead to a booking are deleted when they are no longer needed.
Your rights
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask to see the personal data we hold about you, correct it, or have it erased where we are not required to keep it, and you can withdraw your consent for marketing messages at any time.
